An easy walk through a true native New Zealand forest with a lite lunch at the end of the walk.

 
 

The historic Balls Clearing is ther best place to experience a walk through a lowland podocarp forest. This piece of forest was saved from the woodman's axe, so you get to experience what native forests in early New Zealand were really like. See amazing native birds and walk amoungst towering giants. We also provide a lite lunch for you to enjoy at the end of your walk.

On the way to and from Balls Clearing you will pass through some of New Zealand's most beautiful farmland. While driving, we talk about the history of the region and point out some of its unique features, cultural and historic spots.
